My family and I visited the Mountain Top after not being in the area for a while, and I was impressed by how clean and tidy it was. I had the meatloaf special which came with a generous portion of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and a side salad - it was the best meatloaf I've had in years. The next day, I tried their Saturday breakfast buffet and was pleased with the fresh and tasty selection of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, biscuits, French toast, and pancakes. The service was friendly and efficient, and the prices were great for the quality of food provided.

well, they have re-gained us as customers !
stopped in October - the place was jam packed and the food was back to what I remember - years ago !
glad to see the improvements - now if they would expand the dining room - and parking area - Looks like
this is once more :Romney's hot-spot"

We used to eat there all the time - 'till the service got so slow and parking became a prpblem due to the fact people were using the parking spaces for a "park & ride" - so now we go to McDonalds where we don't have to wait
I miss this place and the friendly waitresses that used to work there

Absolutely a fantastic place to eat. The food is great, the prices are even maybe too low and the portions are generous.
I ate there last week after leaving the dentist and it was the first time that I had ever been there. I had the Crab Cake sandwich platter and WOW was it good.
I live an hr. away and am going back this morning to get a crab cake sandwich for lunch. I was telling a friend at church about that place and he told me that I should try the seafood platter and I am going to go on a week-end and takes some friends and do that. The tell me that they have a prime rib special on Friday notes and it is great so I will definitely be trying that also.
