I've been eating at the Philly Deli since I moved here 20 years ago and it's still my favorite restaurant in town...hands down!! Service and atmosphere are great and the fried mushrooms are out of this world!

I usually love to eat at Philly deli and always get steak n cheese normally go to the Oleander location however tonight I ordered take out at the porter's neck location. I visited their website prior to ordering and noticed a 25% off special pastrami and cheese grinder or sub of the day. Turned out Philly Deli does not update their website and the pastrami and cheese was not a special. They ended up honoring the special due to lack of updating the website. I got home took one bite of my sandhog and spit it out!!!! The kitchen / takeout attendant must have sabotaged my order purposely because I inquired about the discount prior to my arrival. To say the least the sand had so much pepper on it u would think i ordered a freaking pepper sandhog!!! No Joke I ordered my sandwich all the way, lett, tom, v & o, mayo. i got home and not only was the sandhog the worst pastrami I have ever tasted but also had nothing I ordered on it! Great waste of $10! Thanks for nothinG

Oh don't get me wrong the food is good, but they take 15$ out of your account when you give them a debit/credit card as a "pre-authorization fee" to process your card. That's twice the price of my meal. What's up with that?!
