The delivery took longer than expected, but the food was definitely worth the wait, earning a solid five-star rating. The hibachi spot is now a favorite for its super-fast and friendly service, offering a quick and well-priced meal. Despite its unassuming exterior, this small hole-in-the-wall spot in Wilmington boasts some of the best delivery hibachi options, with delicious food, quick service, and a great value for the price.

Not a Japanese restaurant.....Prices are raised above the menu quoted price when a delivery is called in. Delivery is always within thirty mins late; Food is dripping with grease; Go to HT if you really want real sushi!!!

Ordered a small meal for myself , the hibachi chicken was pretty good , the spring was tasty too, pretty happy with my order, thank you Ichiban !

Food was delicious, however I never received a fortune cookie with my meal. That upsets deeply, and completely ruined my meal.

I got horrible food poisoning from here. I spent the whole night in the bathroom but it looks like im the only one who had this experience with them. I won't eat here again just because of how awfully sick I got i hope noone has the experience i did. It. .

I like them. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because there have been occasions when the quality of the food was inconsistent. Most times we've ordered it's been good though.
Also I would like to point out the person who wrote.....

I order $40 worth of crap that I dumped into the trash. Everything was oily, greasy, over cooked, soggy, waaaay too salty, and spoiled. I am a seafood lover and this place has made me stay away from seafood for quite a while because their shrimp and scallops tasted like they've been sitting out for days and has rotten.
Definitely do not go here! If you're looking to order Chinese and not have to worry about suspect food...I'd try my usual place down the street at Chopstix. "
They're spamming. They left this SAME exact review on the Chopstix page only the last part they changed "Chopstix" to "China Wok" ...it's a garbage review

I used to order in from here weekly when I worked around the corner from this place. I still eat here once a month or so. They are fast, friendly and affordable. I have NEVER had a bad experience here! I tried a couple other Hibatchi take out places, usually finding it over cooked, over salty etc.. BUT NOT HERE! Nice sized portions and the white sauce is great! I would recommend this to anyone.

Will it blow you away? Of course not, it's a small chinese pick up/delivery place in WLM. Is it very affordable, quick, solid food, yes indeed. Ichiban Express has a very nice little menu which makes it easy to decide. Their food is not great but it is good and worth checking out. And to the guy who gave it one star and threw away forty dollars AND likes chopstix: your statement, even though it is opinion, is invalid due to being just wrong. By the way how did you spend forty dollars here? That's like five entrees? Give it whirl, don't expect the world, expect chinese pick up. HIgh five.

I just moved to Wilmington 3 weeks ago and my friend spoke highly of this place. Now I was impressed with the menu to see sushi, hibachi, and traditional take out Chinese food on the menu. It's like the all in one oriental restaurant. Now the food is pretty cheap for the quantity you get. The only downside is the food isn't top notch quality but it's a take-out/ delivery place mainly. Overall it's a good place when you want something beyond the normal Chinese take out place.

Fast delivery, great food, and the people are super nice. We order from them regularly and have never been disappointed in the quality of food or service. Their General Tso's Tofu is great, as is the Hibachi Shrimp.

Wonderful food,prices, & the people are awesome. We have quit going to other places we used to frequent because this place is the best! Super fast delivery & place is super clean, even the bathroom! I was very surprised by this place. Its located in a off the wall spot off college and would have never thought it would have been so great! I usually frequent other Japanese places around town and have found my new fav! The staff is GREAT! But whats even better is the food! I get the Hibachi Steak, I love how fresh everything is on my plate, Plenty of food, the mushrooms, omg amazing! The veggies are always fresh. This is a def for a great meal, very healthy as some places use a ton of butter and oils, the owner explained to me they just use a lil bit of oil and it makes a diff from the other places in town~ I def recommend this place!!!

I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of my meal at Ichiban Express: the broccoli & zucchini were crisp and vibrantly green, the onions still had a snap to them. I had the hibachi shrimp - which was plenty of food, tons of shrimp; my friend had the hibachi beef and loved it - I sampled some of the mushrooms from his plate and was quite impressed at how delicious they were. The restaurant space is small, but very clean and the staff were attentive and nice. Excellent value for your money. For quick & economic Japanese meals, Ichiban had great quality at an affordable price.
