The restaurant offers excellent sandwiches and a salad bar, including options like Rueben, prime steak with onions, and patty melt. The staff is friendly, and the food quality exceeded our expectations during our early dinner stop in Horicon.

My wife and I went to eat here on 1/19 after driving past a few times. I wish we would have kept on driving. When ordering, we were offered the $5 steak special......absolutely nothing special about it. Both ribeyes were overcooked and the flavor was very blah. The waitress never even bothered to stop and ask how it was, so there was no point where we could have even had them remake the steaks (we were actually fine with her not saying that much to us, though, because from the time we sat down, she treated us like we were an inconvenience for her). But I guess, what do you expect for $5?! After dinner, we went to the bar for a couple drinks. The drinks were fine and the bartender was friendly (the only good part of the night). We were sitting there talking when two women walked in. I'm hoping that they were drunk because they were loud and just plain obnoxious. Come to find out, it was THE OWNER WITH HER SISTER. Talk about a horrible impression. People usually want to see the owner of a restaurant but when they're drunk???? Just stay home, then!! This was the first time that we were ever there and after the experience, it was the last, too. I would not recommend this place to anybody. Especially when you can drive a little bit further to the Char Haus in Beaver Dam or The Shores in Fox Lake. Never Again!!!
