Shakey's, a long-time Janesville restaurant, will be closing its doors, as reported by GazetteXtra in 2008. Many childhood memories were made there, but unfortunately, the establishment was unable to survive. It is interesting to note that while the concept of Shakey's is fading in Wisconsin, it is being reinvented in their numerous Los Angeles locations.
