We have been coming to Dicks every year we come to Myrtle Beach, always look forward to it. We went last night and I will never return or recommend again. Last year there was 22 of us and that group would not go again this year because of how things went last year….so it was 4 family members and my 2 younger grandchildren.
Yes, I understand the whole “Dicks” thing with the atmosphere and sarcasm but when does the food and service become important too!!!
We ordered 3 appetizers one in which never came (and had to be removed from our bill). The other was “thrown” onto our table by a server and the dipping sauce dumped out all over…she just walked away.
My daughter ordered adult spaghetti and meatballs for the kids to share, (meatballs were important to a 4 yr old) but instead we received a child size portion with NO meatballs. When we told our waiter he yelled “well I guess ya ain’t getting them “!! We thought he was joking…my 4 yr old grandson did not eat!
I asked for steak and shrimp, got the steak but no shrimp…steak was absolutely horrible Luke warm, all dried out and way over cooked! At the end (because god forbid he come ask how everything was) I told him about not receiving the appetizer and I didn’t get my shrimp but at least it wasn’t on our bill he said you ordered sirloin, shrimp doesn’t come with sirloin…well looking at online menu…it absolutely does!! My worst experience at Dicks ever!! Will never go back. My huge drink tasted as if it was just punch no alcohol. He didn’t know what captain Morgan’s was. I thought maybe last year they just couldn’t handle our large group of fun people because they had messed up our order which ended up with someone never getting her meal! I understand it is so crucial for them to be loud, obnoxious and crude…but they need to also be aware if their customers are satisfied with their meals which are not cheap and this time, not good! They’re too busy making those fun hats and trying to figure out what to write in them. Ask how our food is and if we need anything else!!!
I’m not one to give reviews because I understand things are a bit different now then they were a few years ago but I took my family to a place I thought they’d enjoy because we are fun people but service and food was horrible! Why else do you go out? Certainly not to receive this type of service when spending almost $300!! 2 years in a row we had issues and they don’t seem to care one bit! So many other places to give my business to. Oh…they had an hour and a half wait too! Ridiculous!
