I used to live here between 2003 and 2013...relocated back to Michigan when my mom got sick....I ended up moving back here in Feb. of 2020...one weekend my son and I decided to venture out and come back to the place that I remember so well for their falling off the bone ribs and homemade mac and cheese and greens and hot water cornbread. We get there and I see they still don't take cards, so we drove all the way from Smyrna then had to leave and go find a back to pull out cash...we come back and I was completely irritated because the once homemade mac and cheese now looked like pasta from the box. So my question is when did they start doing imitation mac and cheese??? Needless to say we ended up turning around and walking out. We may them a chance to redeem themselves and see if anything has gotten better, I still can taste their ribs and greens, so we will see how it goes and at that time I will rate them again.

When cooking is not an option due to a host of other responsibilities, Lil Cee's home cooking is where I turn for that Grand Mama/Mama southern taste meal. If you're on the East side of town or if you feel like traveling in that direction, you definitely won't go wrong. The smothered pork chops, turnip greens, pinto beans, and hot water cornbread is one of my favorite combinations. Oh, and don't forget the hot sauce! Mmm, Mmm, Good!!!
