Everytime we were at Grandmas it was great. We had been going there for years. Just lovely we haven't been there for a couple of years due to our son w/demintia and we miss that place in our lives. Love you all

in response to a very nasty review I just read where the police were called in I must say I was completely stunned! My parents have owned a camp in Pittsburg for 40 years and my husband & I have had breakfast & lunch as we passed through Whitefield 50 times or more! The nasty review that I just read had to have been from nasty people to start with. I can say that no one in my family as ever had a bad experience there. Never. Service is never particularly fast but perfectly pleasant and the food has always been great. The North Country is a bit layed back in nature, I find. You are here to unwind, are you not? Take a chill pill, order a hot chocolate or coffee, relax & chat. Be polite, smile, be pleasant. Maybe the whole world will treat you better!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! If I could give this place ZERO star review, I totally would. It started with our waitress who “forgot” to bring us some of the food we ordered and absolutely neglected our table with no water or coffee refills and super slow service. But this is nothing compared to the OWNER of the restaurant who came to me saying that SHE “PUTS ME ON A TIMER” now and that “I HAVE TO LEAVE” apparently because my boyfriend forgot to put on his mask on his way from our table to the bathroom (!)

Important to say that this was before our waitress even brought our check, and after we JUST finished eating our food, the most expensive item on the menu. Also, there was at least one empty table behind us, so I’m not even sure why the OWNER WAS SO AGGRESSIVE AND RUDE AND ASKED US, PAYING CUSTOMERS, TO LEAVE.

When my boyfriend politely asked the owner what caused her hostility towards me, the owner called the police and demanded we “get out of the restaurant now and never come back”.

Excuse me, what???? The owner’s reaction was so bizarre and disproportional to the situation that I just don’t know what to think of it. I have never encountered anything remotely as disturbing as my experience with this individual.

PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE ...

Some waitstaff (not all) can be very rude and abrupt! Food is really good but waitstaff needs an overhaul with some.

Food was great! Waitress was very abrupt. Didn't bring all ordered. No early bird discount. First time we had received this kind of service
