Walking into Apicella's, the air was thick with the warm, yeasty aroma of bread baked with decades of tradition. The rustic loaves, crusty on the outside yet tender within, carried the unmistakable character of an old-school Italian bakery that has quietly perfected its craft over a century. Each bite of the sesame-topped bread and the stuffed meatball loaf told a story of heritage and care, making it clear why this bakery remains a beloved local treasure.

It had been a while since I visited Apicella's, but the Italian bread I tried was fantastic. The place has a classic vibe and offers a variety of delicious options, including stuffed meatball bread that made for a hearty dinner. Every time I'm in Connecticut, I make it a point to swing by and grab some fresh-baked goodness.

Best service best breads and cookies and Mary beth is a doll she ships out of state and Steve is also great. Best Italian bread ever .
