Newton Diner Employee Berated in Front of Customers 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory1

I arrived to a crowded diner, a good sign, mid morning today. I sat at the counter and noticed an older blond woman looming in the aisle behind me. The waitress was friendly and promptly handed me a menu and asked if I wanted a beverage. My coffee arrived posthaste. As I read the menu the woman in the aisle began reading the riot act to an employee. Something about not notifying her about running out of V-8 juice.

The crowd said the food was good and the menu said the prices were reasonable.

But I was not going to eat at a place where I know the management mistreats employees let alone humiliate an employee in front of customers.

I stood up and asked how much the coffee was, "$1.29" and she asked why I didn't order. I mention her tirade. In her reply she actually "justified" the berating of an employee by saying the employee was family.
