We were going to be in the area, so I asked a friend/co-worker for some casual seafood options, and he recommended this place (as well as another).

We opted for Betty Moretti's and were very pleased with all elements of our meal, the quality, the service and the price. Very good fresh seafood made to order, and good portion sizes.

Even though it's not close to home, it's worth our travel time for a great seafood meal now and then.

This place is incredible!!!! The food is all freshly made and it is family run. We had shrimp bisque the other day and it was incredible! There's a "family bucket of seafood" sooo affordable! They have a homemade buttercake for dessert which is outstanding!

To the poster about take out:
FYI take out is NEVER the same as dining in! Get over it!

This place is great!!

My family ate at this restaurant during our recent vacation in August 2009. We found it very nice and pleasant, the prices were excellent, the food was great and we had a very nice time!

Be aware, this place has the worse after service ever!

My sister & I went into Betty Moretti's to get platters for our vacation group (6 of us). We said that some of the things that we wanted weren't offered as platters; the woman behind the counter said no problem she would help us convert the orders into platters. We also explained that we were on vacation. Two of the meals we ordered were platters that came with 2 sides each so we ordered 2 fries & 2 corn on the cobs & then 2 more as "extras". We commented that they were $3 each but we needed them so we just pay the $ and get them.

So we ordered crab cakes, shrimp, clams, mussels & clam chowder. I asked if she put cocktail sauce in our bag & she said that it wasn't included so we bought little condiment size sauces from her at $1.75 each! We already had the hot food so didn't feel that we had a choice.

We get back to our room and we are missing the extra corn & our soup is cold. I called and the girl said that my order was right & that the soup is served chilled. I told her my order wasn't right & that they should have told us if the soup is cold since we are on vacation and may or may not have a microwave. Anyhow, I told her what I was missing & she said I have 2 corns & I ordered 2 extra so I'm all set. So I told her 2 were included as part of the order & around & around it went. I asked for her mgr & he said yes, I only got 2 corn but I only paid for 2. I told him that I ordered 4 total & this wasn't about $ it was about feeding my family. Again, he said I paid for 2 so what was my issue? He did admit that that I did order 2 extra.

I told him that I still needed food for our dinner & he said I got what I paid for so I should be ok. I told him that I didn't come on vacation with a calculator so I didn't know what I paid for or didn't. I also told him he could make me happy if he wanted to. He asked how, so I said have the extra food ready, I'll run over pick it up & pay for the difference & he said no. Now that made no sense, can't anyone order food ahead, have it ready, pick it up & pay?

So i told him that he would never get my business or any of of my friend's business and he actually said that would be fine! Keep in mind that we were the only folks in this place, it wasn't like customers were lined up to get in.

At that point I asked to speak to the owner, he took my name & number and I haven't hear back from her (its been 4 days).

My sister & I cut the corn into tiny pieces and nuked our soup. The food was good but btw the the $1.75 cocktail sauce, $100 takeout dinner, missing & cold food and a bad attitude I'd say pass.
