Best place in Princeton!!!! Carver's has the freshest healthiest menu around! HOMEMADE CARVED DAILY made to order sandwiches. Owner is super friendly and you can't beat the prices for the quality and amount of food you get!

I work close to Carver's and used to eat here 2-3x per week. Unfortunately about a year ago the quality of food dropped drastically. I guess the bad economy was taking it's toll and the cost cutting measure have ruined this place. You used to be able to get real "carved" meat/turkey and chicken. I assure you there no carving going on here any more. It's just more of the same slimy, salty, processed meat you get at any deli. The chicken is gummy, wet squares of chicken cold cuts. It is not fresh cooked chicken. They do have good chili and tasty soups but avoid anything else. It's too bad...I used to really like this place.

This place offers a lot of soups and items for lunch. They rely largely upon the office complex for their automatic customers. I have tried their vegetarian chili and many other things for lunch. I have finally sworn off ever going there again. I ordered a plate of rice and vegetables and before I knew it, the person behind the counter had shoved it into a microwave---even though it was already in poly-styrine!!! I refused to take it--knowing that the food was rendered useless and toxic from the pcbs in the container! The owner proceeded to skeptically assault my knowledge of the dangers of the microwave. Just read anything and you can find this out!! The chilis and soups are derived from vast amounts of powered spices--not the building of flavor from sauteeing quality ingredients. The owner is pompous when questioned about the contents or methods of cooking. This place is definitely not for the healthy eater

In the past I would enjoy going in to Carvers for a sandwich, soup or chili. The food at carvers was very good! I would have lunch @ Carvers Cafe' 3-4 times a week. Now I won't go back. The owner prepares sandwiches with his gloves on.. great right.. but he doesn't take them off to use the cash register, touch cash, answer the phone or even to blow his nose! And there he goes right back to prepare your food with the same gloves on, that turned me right off!! I mentioned something to the head cashier about it, but that did not stop him. The next time I was in, there he was touching everything in the cafe' and back to making a sandwich with the same gloves on.That was the last straw, And you wonder how germs spread. No Thanks. I threw my sandwich out without touching it. I will miss the convenience that I can walk there from my office, but I won't be back!!!
