About a decade ago during a spring break trip to Jamaica, I had a memorable culinary experience with Jerk chicken infused with local flavors. Ever since then, I've been on a quest to find that same authentic taste, leading me to Peppa's in Brooklyn for the closest match in the tri-state area. While Castaways offers decent jerk chicken, it doesn't quite reach the same level of satisfaction as Peppa's, but their other dishes like curry chicken/goat and oxtail are worth a try for flavorful and hearty meals.
