While visiting the beach area, I discovered Jameson's Southern Cooking and tried several dishes over two visits. The food was consistently fresh and flavorful, with generous portions, especially the tender ribs and well-seasoned chicken wings. The owner and staff were attentive and kind, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made the experience enjoyable.

I discovered Jameson's online while in the beach area and decided to give it a try. The owner was attentive and made sure I had everything I needed, from butter to utensils. The portions were generous and the food was cooked to order, always hot and fresh. The BBQ baby back ribs were tender and flavorful, while the chicken wings were crispy and well-seasoned.

You might as well save your money. In my opinion, the food here is a ZERO. I used to go here "if I was in a desperate" mode. The food was not tasty. They are so unprofessional. The menu is very inconsistent. Usually when I go in the place has all these tables and no one is sitting there. To me, "It's like a back alley place." I found the owner "Mr Jameson" borderline insane. I thought he had a real mental problem and emotionally unstable. The food was bland. Me - I am used to good soul food. This does not compare at all... They remind me of the old show --- "The GONG Show." (with Chuck Berry). I would GONG them and throw Jameson off the stage. Then Jameson flips the religious switch on for like 2 seconds. After that he's back to being a heathen!
I also agree with the posting about the cashier. I noticed it also - she has a BAD ATTITUDE. Yes she does give short and rude answers. Kind of like she's doing you a favor. I cannot stand her. That shows Jameson does not have good judgment to hire her. I wish it was legal to slap her!!!

It's a hit or miss with them! The last meal I got was a hit. BUT, the counter/cashier girl needs a MAJOR attitude adjustment! When you call, she gives 1 word answers and acts like it's an inconvenience to her. When you come in the restaurant to order her response is "Is that it"? Like I'm supposed to order everything off the menu.
The meats are excellent and always tastes fresh unlike the mac and cheese. I always seem to get the "scraps" which is pretty much cheeseless. The sweet potato pies are great although the last 2 slices that I had weren't cooked all the way through. The store bought crust was still chewy and beige.
I would go back again, but will make a point to say something to the owner about his counter girl. Also, I do like that the owner is always on the premises.

this place is horrendous compared to its greater days before 2007 when they used to have great corn bread and not muffens that are burnt no quality control anymore girl at front counter is cold allways out of items this place was once a gem
