Came for lunch today. Was excited as I'm not from this area and don't get here often, but I was in town for medical reasons. I've been coming here for years and have always had a good experience, until today. The young woman who helped (I use the term loosely) was taciturn at best and unfriendly at worst. They were out of most things in the bakery so I got 2 cookies which I ate while waiting for my lunch. The cookies were hard and tasted stale. Never has this happened before. Ordered grilled cheese on pump and it arrived on white. Ordered the tomato basil soup and it tasted like marinara sauce... and was thick and not hot. She brought it out and placed it on the table, silently. She's in a service business. I don't get how the owner allows someone like this to work with customers. I wanted to purchase some froxen dinners, breads to bring home as well as muffins and scones. I did none of that. I would not give any more of my hard earned money or extend the time I was exposed to this young woman. There's a teachable moment here if she even cares to learn. In any event, she should not be working with the public. Perhaps IT is more suitable for her, or working on your social media platforms. By contrast the woman who i overheard say she works in the kitchen was so nice and friendly to everyone she brought food out to. If I had her helping me I would have dropped a lot more of my money here. Very disappointed!
