I go to this restaurant EVERY SINGLE TIME I GO TO CARLSBAD! I have never been disappointed in either food or service.

Dirty tables, shabby-looking inside. Should have walked out, but the place had been recommended to us.
I was told they didn't have any straws, that they were moving and all the straws were at the new location. They brought garlic rolls that hadn't even been proofed before baking, so they were hard dough balls. When my spaghetti with meat sauce came, I asked for Parmesan cheese and was brought Kraft shelf-stable cheese instead of fresh Parmesan.
The meat sauce was edible, but very low on the quality scale.
Cost was $11.00 plus $4.50 for the meat sauce. No side salad was offered with the dinner at this price.
I'm a retired chef and can honestly say that I would be ashamed to serve the meal I had to a guest. Save your appetite for Italian food until you get out of Carlsbad. Don't waste your money and spoil an evening of your vacation like we did.
The owner of this restaurant needs to fire the chef and manager and retrain the whole staff or just shut down. Not even a new location can make this food worth the money.
