I am a local: having come to Abiquiu 18 years ago from Phoenix. I'm writing this after reading some of the snarky reviews. It is still shocking to me reading about the "rude" young woman server. Does that writer expect a perfect world---especially in a small, rural setting? Do you ever think about how challenging it is to locate and train servers in the area? Most likely this was the young person's first job ever. Did the RUDE reviewer ever have a first job with minuscule hourly pay, on your feet all day long and where if you made $35 a week, that was something essential economically to your family? Has the reviewer ever had a bad day at work? It was also mentioned her not looking at the customer. Perhaps the server is "on the spectrum" which would make it difficult to just show up for work. There are a myriad of reasons for the interaction to have been less than expected. However, simple kindness and understanding go a long way in life. I don' know the owner or any of the personnel. But it is truly difficult to start a business and keep it viable. THE ICE CREAM IS SUPER AS ARE THE SANDWICHES.
