On my way to visit the Grand Canyon, I was referred to Bigass Burgers for lunch. Being that Thoreau NM. is right on 40, and the land scape is just gorgeous, I had to stop. I arrived before BAB opened which gave me some time to get some really great pictures. Once they did open, and as I was reviewing the menu, it was explained to me that they made a full pound and a half pound burger. I was not brave enough to get the full pound, so I went with the half pound and let me say, I'm glad I did. This burger blew me away! First of all, it was better than any fast-food chain's burgers and kicked Burger King way out of the park, and I mean way out there like Puto! It took me a bit to finish, but I did, glad I didn't get the full ponder or else I would probably still be there recovering from a seriously massive food coma. Not only was the burger scrumptious, the fresh cut and cook fries were unbelievably delicious, note; could not eat them all, so they became a wonderful road snack! I did mention to them that if there was such a thing as disposable cot's they should have those as well; someone may need it to have a LITTLE siesta on the spot! So, if you're traveling anywhere close to Thoreau, NM. stop and check it out, you won't be disappointed, and you will be full, all day! To the owners, thank you for treating this South Dakotan to a wonderful full belly of absolute deliciousness! Gog bless you guy's, and I hope your there when I come back again.

During my visit, the food exceeded my expectations with its rich flavors and fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a memorable dining experience.

Heard the burger's were had to find out and the word was true the grandsons even liked them we will be back for sure
