It was late at night for Chama (7:30). We didn't realize the hours were less than we were used to (8pm), so we came in late in their day. They were great and treated us happily though I'm sure they would have liked to go home. The meal was extraordinary and a real treat. We were tired and very hungry. Thanks so much for a good experience and a great meal. That night you were indeed a port in the storm.

Breakfast was delicious, and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly! Cafe and restrooms were very clean! We were treated like welcomed guests not outsiders. We look forward to eating here again!

Amazing is the word for this restaurant food, service, was so Good even the cooks were very pleasant. Herb and Natasha were great people loved all of it, will be back again. Thanks guys

This place makes me smile. We've been several times over the past few years on our trips to see Mimi and Papaw. It's beginning to feel like a tradition! Play at the train yard across the street, shop at the quaint stores, and eat at The Box Car Cafe! Great green chile cheeseburgers, the kids love the hot dogs, and we discovered a new fave today...chile cheese fries! With red and green chiles! Wow! Lovely service. Decent value. Definitely recommend to both visitors and locals.
