We visited Mayville last week and were disappointed in the food. The staff was nice. My friend ordered a cheeseburger from the specials board and he only really likes cheese and nothing else on his cheeseburgers. He forgot to say so and that was his fault which he admitted. However, he asked for fries and got chips. He left the table having eaten nothing and told his wife to tell the waitress he didn't feel well. His wife actually told her the truth. She said she she was sorry about bringing chips instead of fries. She took half off his lunch. Instead of taking anything off his lunch we thought maybe she could have just brought fries for him to go and a plain cheeseburger out of a sense of goodwill, although there was no obligation to do so. It would have made up for the chip thing.

I got the hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. The roast beef was not shredded roast beef, but rather deli sandwich roast beef which is fine for deli sandwiches, but not this. It was dry and unappealing. The mashed potatoes were instant, which is usually fine, but these had a crust from being warmed up too much. I ate it because I was hungry, but such a disappointment.
