Stepping inside felt like being zapped straight into September 1980-beer for 65 cents and Reggie Jackson on the TV had me questioning reality while strangers eyeballed my cell phone like I was some government agent. The wings? Absolutely killer, especially the Black Betty, which might just change your life (or at least your taste buds). Despite a server who seemed to think hospitality was optional, the friendly bartenders, fresh food, and unique sauces made it impossible not to plan a return trip-just maybe leave the time machine at home next time.
