Top Reviews of Om Nohm Gluten Free

review_stars 03/05/2020 - Amanda Jurczak
Let me tell you my story about going gluten free and then I will tell you a little (or a lot) something about Om Nohm. My name is Amanda, I’m 27, happily married with children, have a job I wholeheartedly love, a place I can call home, and a car that gets me to where I need to be. Okay, enough about me, let me get to my story. On January 10th, I went to a new doctor after having the same doctor for years who couldn’t help with any of my issues aside from medications. First of all this doctor, not only pushed drugs aside, but help me really think about the roots of my issues. I constantly had headaches that would result in migraines - from the time I woke up to the time I went to bed. Daily. Frequent stomach pains from eating combined with nausea, at first I may have thought maybe it was a complication of having my gallbladder, then I had it removed, it solved some problems, but not enough to be happy. I had constant brain fog, couldn’t be focused for a long period of time, trying to remember things like what I ate that day, or even what I came to certain rooms for. My skin was pale, I looked sick, ill, and overtired to match my feelings of feeling sick and tired. I had no energy. Simple things were exhausting. Tasks I found easy once before now began to be too much. That includes my job as a cna. I would be running around for a eight hour shift and feel like I had worked twenty. I thought it was just because of being obese, we will get to that later. This new doctor didn’t recommend medicine which was a shock to me. He had asked me to try going lactose free, I did and nothing change. He then suggested on trying to go gluten free and as of January 10th, I have been gluten free. I am so thankful that I did. I couldn’t be any healthier even as big as I am. I’m healthier physically, mentally, and emotionally. I’m not the only one who has taken notice. People I have not seen or people I see daily (at work) notice my weight loss, my change of complexion (I’m glowing) my overall happiness, and more. I truly feel like I’m becoming the best version of myself. It’s been years since I’ve felt this way. I’m losing weight, I’m not falling asleep after eating a meal, I have a better understanding of what’s going on around me, I’m mindful of what I’m doing with my body in every avenue, have energy at work and go to the gym, and so much more. Now, onto Om Nohm. I’ve ate their food before, it was at Shakespeare at the Lake. It was good, something to eat, didn’t have it again for a long time. But then I remembered, that they’re gluten free. It all started with two meals & it changed my life forever. Between the welcoming atmosphere, the positive staff encouragement, the accepting environment, I ate the Buffalo Tofu Melt for lunch & took the quiche to work. I ate it and didn’t have a stomach ache or feel nauseous for the first time in years. And so it began. A whole new me. As an added bonus, I’ve lost about thirty pounds since January 10th with a lot more to go, but that’s the most I’ve lost in a long time in a short period of time, but healthily. I was essentially poisoning my body. I look forward to sharing my story with my doctor when I have my follow up. If you think that you should go gluten free, go with your gut, literally. It’s been the best decision I’ve made and keep on making. Thank you Om Nohm for making your wonderful recipes accessible and affordable. & Thank you personally Jess from the bottom of my heart for your positivity, bright smile, and knowledge. And being my personal cheerleader in this endeavor. Love you & Om Nohm oh so much!
