We at the Fish Shanty strive to serve the freshest seafood available. Our wait staff are courteous and attentive. If for any reason you have a bad meal or unpleasant experience, PLEASE do not hesitate to bring it to our attention. We want ALL customers to leave happy and to come back again. For those of you who have not tried The Fish Shanty, please come on out and visit us, we would love to see you.

The food and service is terrible. Do not eat here. Our food was half spoiled, no joke. The Service was no good. Many reviews say it is good, but I am here to tell you to save your time and money. Eat somewhere else.

Once again we had a wonderful meal at the Fish Shanty. If you haven't been there, you ought to make it at least once a summer. We go weekly and have never had a meal we didn't like. this year they have these wonderful HUGE cupcakes for dessert. What a perfect end to a perfect meal! Check this place out!

The food was phenomenal as this was our second time at the Caps. We travel to the Finger Lakes area once a year and will now add "The Shanty" to our yearly stop as they have the best whole belly clams in the country, hands down. Our server (BABS) was not only attentive but also was a riot and kept us in stitches the entire meal. Highly recommended for seafood lovers....make sure you get the goody bar!

I read in the Penny Saver that the Shanty will be opening at the end of April. I can't wait to go back for their wonderful dishes. The only problem is........wholebellies, or scallop asiago.? Decision decision decision. Anyway they always make you feel welcome there and we ALWAYS get a great meal!

Fried clams are amazing!!!! I'm a native New Englander and these clams are spot on. Owners are extremely gracious.

We say NO THANKS to eating at the Shanty during the week. Weekends, YES. they must bring the good cooks on Fri, Sat, and Sun. We were told the owner was cooking last night. Some owners need to be heard instead of be seen. He needs to own the place and STAY OUT OF THE KITCHEN.

great fun place for dinner. It was much better when the Capt himself was running it. New owner doesn't have a clue on how to run a restaurant. he yells at the staff and on the night we were there was drinking beer and became loud and obnoxious. It is so sad to see the place go downhill. The staff is great and we feel sorry for them being treated that way. the food was wonderful as the cooks really know what they are doing. Go for the food and you might be lucky enough to be there when the owner isn't. We will continue to go as we have become friends with the waitresses. They are a great bunch of gals and the guy that busses tables is a riot to watch.

Went to Fish Shanty on Fathers day and it was really hopping. Actually we had a very long wait for our food. There were only two waitresses on and they were really running. The food was good though. They kept playing Jimmy Buffitt music over and over. could have lived without that! We had lobster with corn on the cob and salt potatoes with the salad bar and it was great. Our waitress was a riot and very professional. She was embarrassed that our meal was taking so long. Anyway, I would recommend the place but would go again on a night other than Friday.

What a blast!!! Had a wonderful meal. Wholebellie clams were the best I thought I was in New England. Can't wait to go back when outside seating is open. We got a great waitress - looked like they had a bunch of them!!! They make you feel at home. Ham steak was out of this world, ate it for two days it was soooo big. You really have to try this place for a fun summer meal. Friday night was crazy busy so go on a night other than that so you can enjoy the full effect.
