Party of 10 ,6:00 Pm 3/18

Not sure what the disconnect was between my menu choice the waitress and the kitchen .
I ordered the shrimp Ramano off the special sheet. 25.00
Menu said it was tuna, scalops, shrimp on a sea food ravioli .
As I was eating I noticed it was just shrimp . The shrimp had a lemon cream like sauce on them and was on a dry
bed of angel hair pasta with none of the sauce. Over all it was very good shrimp.
I approached the waitress and asked why it was missing the other menu items,
Her reply was “ you ate it did’t you “
She said if it had the other menu items in it like the menus said it would more like 35.00
I was confused on the menu Fails advertising of what was in the dish for $25.00
The waitress said I could talk to her to dispute
the meal but that was not my point.
I don’t under stand why your menu said one thing and the meal was entirely different.
Very frustrating .

We have gone to Nicolinos quite often to eat out the two of us and some times with friends. The food has been fabulous. We have also gone there for parties, reunions . There was only one time where I didn’t eat on of the items it was to bitter. Told waitress and she said it’s the way it is . Other then that I have always enjoyed my meal especially the bread .

I go to Nicilino’s often. The food, no matter what we / I order is very good. The table bread is a big bonus. It is served piping hot.. very delicious

Had dinner yesterday(Easter) at your restaurant. To say I was disappointed is putting it mildly. From the moment we were seated everything seemed to move in slow motion. Now I realize they were busy so we just took it in stride. It took a while to get our drinks and for the poor overworked waitress to take our meal order. And so we waited.......Finally when our meals came out all of the (5) were not hot but lukewarm. And if you've ever eaten lukewarm vodka rigatoni lukewarm, it's like eating paste, . I was very disappointed. Plus the fact that there was a limited menu was totally unexpected as I had my heart set on a different entree (which was not on the menu.) We have eaten at Nicolino's many times and this was the very first time I didn't enjoy my meal. We will go there again but next time I will make sure it's not on a holiday,

My family was looking for dinner out tonight so I went to lookup the menu online. Guess we are going to Canalis instead since it’s more hoops to jump through just to find a menu for this place. Still don’t know if I found the menu unless they seriously only offer 10 options? Very confused but they should have an easily accessible online menu if they plan on doing successful take out for the remainder of the pandemic.

Food has been amazing! And the gluten free options are wonderful!!

Try to be accurate when you say what time an call in order is ready so we don’t have to deal with your rude bartender

Went to Niccolino's last night. I thought it was expensive. Grandson had chicken fingers and fries. They charged extra for the fries. There a long time before two from our party got their salad. The other two adults had soup - it wasn't ready. After another long period, they finally brought our dinners - soup still not out. After dinner was served, soup finally came out. My husband ate his, I had mine wrapped to go. We were up to NY traveling and I was looking forward to coming here. Not again! Next time, we'll go somewhere else. Service was terrible, food OK.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE!!
So we made reservations about a month ago for 5 pm on Christmas Eve, we heard good reviews about this restaurant & we wanted to give it a try. We were so disappointed!
We arrived at 4:50pm and they seated us immediately. Our waiter Kyle was very attentive bringing us water, bread and our wine.we ordered 2 appetizers and our meals within 15 minutes of being seated! Our apps came (we order the calamari and shrimp cocktail) they were delicious, we then had our salads - also delicious! All this and it was only 5:35 - I even commented that at this rate we’ll be done in no time! WRONG! Our Food FINALLY arrived at our table at 6:40 pm!! Over 1 hour after our salads were picked up from the table! My boyfriend ordered filet and lobster tail- the filet was over cooked and the lobster tail was so overdone it was like eating a ball of rubber bands. I ordered bacon encrusted salmon and it was so dry I had to drink water with each bite, needless to say I couldn’t eat it. The Veggies were so undercooked, in fact I don’t think they were cooked at all that’s how crunchy they were! This started out to be a great meal and ended up to worst meal we have ever had. We will never ever eat there again!
We just don’t understand why it took over an hour for our food to get to our table?? The amount of money we spent at this high end place for the quality of food we received was so disappointing- sadly we will never recommend this place to anyone!!!

We've been going to Nicolinos at least once a month for years. Pam and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The prices are very reasonable and the food is the best!

I went to Nicolino's for the first time for a friend's birthday dinner. Everything was really good. The service was great and we had a blast.

I ordered baked Haddok from the dinner menu. The menue said mashed potatoes but the waitress informed me no mashed potatoes but I could have a baked potato. 2 min later she came back telling me there are no potatoes. what restaurant has no potatoes. The fish was tasteless and very disappointing as well. I would not gobCK WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY. iN ALL FAIRNESS MY HUSBAND HAD THE CHICKEN PARM AND SAID IT WAS GOOD.

review_stars 04/11/2017 - Radine
Very disappointed about the spring chicken, it came with white corn gravy, when it came out it wasn't even hot, it looked great until I seen the juice of the bird, on the side of the plate was red. I asked the waitress "not sure this is done?" She goes back to kitchen and comes back chef says it's seasoning that makes it look like that! I'm sorry but the seasoning wasn't red or pink it's base was white! So I told her to wrap it and I'll cook it the way I want it, which would be done! Not bloody. Mind you my husband is furious with the way the hole service was handled, "customer is always right". I'm not a person to send my food back, but them knowing I'm not statifided, still changed full price for the meal, $16.00 for chicken that was going to spring off the plate!

Quite disappointed in offerings, particularly for the price. Somewhat tasteless lemon/butter sauce - very watery in chicken dish and there were no basil ribbons as advertised. They apparently were put on the veal parmesan instead. Tomato sauce on short rib raviolis overwhelmed the caramelized onions. Would not go back.

Decided to try Nicollino`s after passing by many times. Very pleasantly surprised. Very clean and pleasant surroundings: we were seated by a fireplace. Wife had LaSagna and I the fruitta de mare. Both were delicious meals, and plenty of it. Moderate prices but well worth it. Service was excellent. Will definitely return.

9/26/2016 We were a large group of people attending the yearly Amercan Legion Commander's Dinner. First of all, the room they put us in was too small for the amount of people.

The head table is always served their food first. (I guess no one told them that)! There was not enough salad dressing for the salad. They brought out potatoes, carrots/green beans, pasta salad, and bread to each table FIRST. Then the main course was delivered. By this time, all the other food was COLD.

We had 5 pats of butter for the bread and the potatoes for the entire table. The coffee was so STRONG, I could not even drink it. For dessert, we were served 1 cannoli and a strawberry.

Needless to say, the entire evening was not a fun event. I would never go there again unless drastic measures were instituted. They knew we were coming, so if they were short of help, they should have added more staff. I normally do not criticize restaurants, but I just had to voice my opinion!! Sorry!!!

I feel Nicolino's has come a long way. There food is excellent from there appetizers to just a simple pizza. There dinners are always done right and taste phenomenal. As for the service it is not a big chain restaurant with several cooks. Its mainly run by one lady who is the owner. If you want fast food go to Ruby Tuesday's and get there chain food, if you want homemade family cuisine food, then go to NICOLINO'S. Everyone is always very friendly and nice. So KUDO'S to you Antonella keep up the GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!

As a customer of over 30 years, I highly recommend Nicolino's. The food is excellent and there is plenty of it. The service is friendly and eager to serve. The prices are very reasonable. Antonella, the Chef is creative and her cooking reminds me of the recipes that came out of the kitchen 30 years ago cooked by her father. Delish!!

I ordered some boneless chicken breast over Angel Hair in a white wine sauce w/tomatoes & mozzarella - first of all absolutely NO FLAVOR - the PASTA WAS OVERCOOKED - pasta had no flavor!!! They should put SALT in the water when cooking the pasta - it should also be ALDENTE' ! My husband got the HADDOCK AGAIN NO FLAVOR - got BROCCOLI THAT wasn't fully steamed - again no flavor - mashed potato's - his dinner was COLD!! Overall nice AMBIANCE - but will not go back - FOOD WAS TERRIBLE!! We need something good in AMSTERDAM!!!!!

review_stars 12/20/2013 - Amanda
Love, love, love it here! Always amazing food! While other restaurants are declining Nicolino's gives you authentic, hand made, food you can't get anywhere else. Always come to this restaurant when out in Amsterdam!

Chria must be representing competing restaurants. The moment he said the portions were small, I knew he was never at Nicolino. If any thing, the portions are enough for at least 2 maybe more. If you going to lie, at least get your facts straight

review_stars 07/10/2013 - Notanidiot
I was there once. It was all it took. I got small portions. The taste was horrifying. These positive reviews are probably from people working there or the owner herself. The waitress was a total dolt. I waited FOREVER for my food which was abhorringly disappointing. The price was outrageous. And yes, TGI does do Italian better then D--ch- Nichlino's.

review_stars 06/24/2013 - Chris
Highly recommend. 1st time visit and will definitely visit again when we are in the area. Best Italian food I have had for the price in years. Service was good, but we were there on a slow night. Great find!

review_stars 07/30/2012 - maureen
We've been there before and it's always a highlight when we are in the area - gonna be in the area tomorrow for a couple of days and Nicolino's is definitely a destination for us!!
I agree w/last reviewer - folks if your description of fine dining is most of the chain restaurants, i.e. Red L, Apple..., etc., go elsewhere!

review_stars 05/11/2012 - Steve & Thea
To those complaining about service time, this isn't a big chain restaurant with six cooks. It is virtually run by one lady (the owner) and a couple of servers. And to the dumbass complaining about the hard crusty bread, it's supposed to be like that. It's ITALIAN bread, in an ITALIAN restaurant, retard. People like this probably grew up on processed crap they got from food stamps and wouldn't know good quality food if it punched them in the face.

My wife and I have been there several times. Ans, yes, it does take some time. But in our experience it was well worth the wait.. The food is authentic Italian made from scratch, not the frozen crap many chain restaurants use. And it was of the highest quality. Those seeking a real quality Italian food experience we highly recommend Nicolino's. Idiots thinking places like TGI Friday's make good Italian probably would not appreciate this fine establishment. They'd be better off doing some "fine dining" at KFC or some other big chain. Nicolino's is truly a diamond in the ruff.

went there on 'parm night' wed. we waited for almost 1 1/2 hours for our food. the place only had a few other couples so they we not busy. the chicken itself was pretty good..but the sauce tasted sour..the pasta was horrible. the bread they give you was hard and crusty. the best part of the meal was the small salad that comes with the meal..and they even ran out of soup..would not recommend..and will not be going back. we had to chase down the waiter and waitress more then once for refills..the food..lemon..the check..we had a lot of left overs..but didnt even want a box!!
