A flat tire led me to a small Italian deli on NY-22 where the warm, authentic atmosphere and homemade offerings stood out, including fresh mozzarella, excellent cannoli, and a cherry jam pastry with a shortbread-like crust that I plan to try again. The friendly owners patiently answered questions and provided comforting dishes like pasta e fagioli and hearty sandwiches, making the experience memorable despite some items having a short shelf life and a few pricing concerns.

If you find yourself with a flat tire on NY-22, you've got to stop by this deli run by a friendly man and his mother who chat away in Italian. The homemade pastries, especially the cannoli and cherry jam squares, are absolutely worth the visit - a true taste of Italy right here in town.
