The aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the scent of homemade Italian bread toasted to a perfect golden crunch, setting a warm and inviting scene. Each bite of the Cali sandwich, with its creamy avocado, crisp bacon, and tender egg, was a comforting reminder of simple, lovingly prepared fare, complemented by generous portions of home fries that nearly overwhelmed the plate. Though the dining area is small and often bustling, the friendly, attentive service and the cozy, familiar atmosphere make every visit feel like a cherished neighborhood ritual.

The food and service at Peter Pause were exceptional, reminiscent of when Bruno & Lucy ran the place. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade Italian bread used for French toast.
