Back in 2002, I made a trip to Ticonderoga to visit my grandparents and see an old flame in Vermont. I remember stopping by this pizza place and being blown away by how delicious it was - the owner was even there making the pies himself! Reading some negative reviews now, I'm guessing it's because the younger staff might not have the same touch as the original owner from Albany. Living in Virginia, I can't help but miss the authentic Northeastern pizza scene - can't wait to move back for more mouthwatering slices!

I went up to Ticonderoga way back in 2002 to visit where my grandparents lived and to see my old college girlfriend in nearby Vermont. The owner was there making the pizza one early afternoon and let me tell you, this pizza was amazing! I see some negative reviews here and must stem from younger people making the pizza. I know the owner then lived in Albany and must have either sold it or hired locals to take over the reigns for him a few times a week. In all honesty, this was the best two slices I had outside of Lombardi's in NYC. It was very memorable. I live in Virginia where the clueless live, they have absolutely no clue what pizza truly is. Can't wait to move back to the Northeast to experience great pizza again.
