The food here hits all the right notes with big portions, friendly service, and surprisingly decent coffee that keeps me coming back, especially for their outstanding matzo ball soup and charbroiled burger. While some prices made me do a double take and the weekend rush can get a little hectic, the fresh, satisfying meals and welcoming vibe make it a solid stop whenever I'm in the area.

The food at this diner is simply delicious, with generous portions whether dining in or getting takeout. I appreciate the friendly service, especially on a busy Sunday morning. 9/11/18 1pm. Lunch at American Diner Middletown ny. Food and service excellent. My wife used ladies bathroom,bathroom was very dirty,no paper towels,floor filthy,bathroom designed poorly,bad for business.while exiting front door,center hand rail loose,ready to fall over,hazard,safety violation.

Eaten there many times got something to go last night it was terrible got roast beef and roasted sirloin of beef portion were great but the beef was microwaved and like rubber as for medium rare and shoe leather I normal don't write comments but this was that bad we normally each breakfast there and it's good I just can't believed they microwaved the meat that high
