We went today-very disappointed. The pot roast had way too much pepper and too little meat. The chicken and dumplings were pure mush. My husband's chicken was not cooked enough and we got our bread after we finished our meal.

I was in the other evening and ordered the country style steak. I asked about the turnip greens and was told they were fresh everyday and torn there and cooked. NO they come frozen in a bag. The country style steak left a lot to be desired. Very little flavor tasted more like a box type.Some box types better. Salad bar good with fresh spinach. My friend had oysters and were happy.

I took my mother and her best friend to Carver's on Elm in Graham, NC. A great community and a great restaurant for "down home" cooking. Wonderful atmosphere and great people.
