Sad News, Ladies and Gentlemen. New China raged against the dying of the fire-light... And disappeared into that Great Beyond. As a Connoisseur of Fine Chinese Cuisine, New China was the absolute best in Morganton... I dined there for a solid 15 or more years... The Black Bean Chicken was the stuff of Legends. Pleasant waiters and waitresses, plus an artist in the kitchen made the restaurant a necessary stop every time to Morganton, at a buffet price that beat any establishment in town...

You will be sorely missed.

Everyone is so nice and caring here! The workers are very sweet. The food is wonderful. The taste of this restaurant is exactly what chinese/jap food should taste like. Love this place. Been going here for over 12 years!!
