Tucked away by the river with a charming covered bridge and a porch full of rocking chairs, this place serves up southern comfort food that tastes like it came straight from grandma's kitchen-fried chicken, macaroni salad, cole slaw, and biscuits that hit all the right notes. You'll need cash or a check in hand since cards are a no-go, but the friendly, hardworking staff and the cozy, old-time atmosphere make every penny worth it. Just a heads-up: the take-home bags are hilariously basic (think doggy bag vibes), so bring your own container if you want to save any of that deliciousness!

Great food, fresh trout filet'd table side, great fast friendly service. Only thing keeping this from being 5 stars is they don't take credit cards - cash or check only.
