I do not know how was the old Quijote, but this one is TERRIBILE!!!!
The worst tortilla espanola: a basic in a spanish restaurant!! The jamon serrano was fake. The croquestas?? Please give me a break!! The service too bad.
Please you cannot make to pay those prices for that trash food!! I know this us NYC, but please respect people!!!

was real excited that el quiote was reopened and back. This restaurant is nothing like the old el quiote. It only bears the same name and location. Change the name to something else so you do not waste the time and money of people coming in and thinking this is the old El Quiote. Too bad it was my favorite restaurant in nyc.

I've been coming here for 30 years so I found out they reopen in February or March and I went by today to look for myself very disappointing, I don't know why they called it el quiote they should change the name it is not the same bar with that they didn't have regular bottles like Johnny Walker Black or Glenfiddich or Tito's I ordered a scotch only thing they have to serve me was monkey shoulder wtf it was the worst they should just change the name. that is not this is not OK ....totally different different owners different staff the only thing that was the same as the red jackets that the waiters where the food is the worst so if you come by thinking oh wow el quiote is open believe me you will be disappointed all day it is not OK if they they should've change the name it is not the same they should just change the name. the sangria OMG the sangria charging $50 small pitcher, rabbit in paella .....the worst .... Please save your money not worth it .......don't get me wrong I expect some changes but a whole 360 it has nothing to do with El qujote just because they rented the space..... THIF ....THATS HOW I FEEL ....

I eat at least 1 meal out out 7 days a week. This is by far the best "bang for your buck" in NY. Zagat's review dropped the ball here. I'm sold on El Quijote.
