Awesome selection of just about anything I can think of (and then some!). Best beer selection I've found including craft/local beers. I also love the produce, cheese, and prepared foods! Oh, and they're 24/7!

If you were to live in an apart behind this place, trust me, you would no be able to eat any cooked food there! The odors coming into my apt are so awful and when you look at the kitchen from the back of the building you wonder how a place like this can remain open!

I will cut to the chase.
Having a child with severe food allergies, it is essential for people on the Upper West Side to be aware of the kind of attention or ( lack of given to Hygiene and Public Health at BARZINI on Broadway.
DO NOT BUY anything that you can not actual confirm as Fresh, such as what they Falsely display and sell as BARZINI FRESHLY SQUEEZED ORANGE JUICE.
It is even more shocking when confronted with the problem, The Owners continue to sell with impunity what is obviously orange flavoured mix that tastes like a concentrate mixed with water.
Add to this the experience of buying MOLDY bread and Cake;
The last time I tried to see if they are still selling Orange drink as "Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice" the owner actually flavoured refused to sell it.
The question is why and how BARZINI continues to conduct business despite such gross deception and public health issues.
Having several times , politely informed the "friendly" owners and given feeble excuses, one has to conclude that , it is just the way owners of BARZINI choose to does business with impunity.
Do not be fooled by the great selection of cheese, thats for the RATS as several have attested here...

Probably my fave in the area! A great, gourmet store, with great prices and food, that is open 24 hours! Personally, I really like the Deli, cheese, and prepared foods (they have some chef that makes it-no cooking for me!).
They also have a HUGE beer selection (they have some big banner about specialty beers or something), and good produce. And they deliver!
