Stepping inside this historic tavern, the flicker of wax candlelit lamps and the beautifully preserved architecture instantly transport me to an era where George Washington and the Founding Fathers once gathered. The rich history seeps through every corner, while the delectable dishes-like the short rib porter beef pie and the chicken pot pie-offer a comforting taste that lingers long after the meal, despite moments of uneven service.
