My wife and I hosted an out of town friend eager for some high end dining .we had never been to Mike's but were happy to have made the choice. The menu certainly had plenty of variety.I ordered some Australian fish served as a Chinese dish.My wife ordered the short ribs and our friend the venison.Believe it or not ,Mike , the chef and proprietor materialized at our table comlimented us on our varied selections and proceeded to chit chat and explain the dishes to us ..Presentation was beautiful and the wait staff pleasant. The food was outatnding with one shortcoming, my wife's shortribs were served cold .she immediately sent them back and Mike made another trip to our table to apologize.I expected the portions to be modest because this is 'dining' not 'chowing down' but the prices were a bit high end.Our friend would have opted for rack of lamb but not for $110 Dollars for a two person portion.Banana tempura was unique and not cloyingly sweet and the three of us ate for a little over $200 Dollars including tip.We only had one desert and shared two apppetizers.Atmosphere was nice but restrooms leave alot to be desired..Our out of town friend was impressed as were we jaded New Yorkers.Definitely worth a return trip.

Food - amazing, the finest kosher restaurant in the New York Area...
Service - very professional
Price - fair for what you get and competitive with other restaurants in its category
Atmosphere - Not as noisy as other kosher places
Also, tables not on top of eachother...spread out well.

This is a restaurant for fine dining.
The food is creative and delicious. Presentation is excellent, exactly what you would expect from such an upscale place. The wine list is nice.
The service was attentive but could have been a bit more prompt. This is not a place for a "quick bite".
The atmosphere is quiet and the decor tasteful. This is a great choice for a meal with a client.
Although the price is high, it is not atypical for superior kosher dining and the quality was outstanding. My wife and I each had a glass of wine, an appetizer, an entree, and dessert. We shared a salad. The total cost including tax and tip was $200.
