Avoid the salads and opt for the tasty burgers, fries, sandwiches, omelets, and homemade soup at this charming small-town restaurant with unique 50s diner decor and friendly service, despite potential wait times.

it's the 3rd time I have been here, the first for my adult son and friend. They were really please with their orders (which I thought were weird) There are a lot of strange dished on a very large menu, which is actually enjoyable to read. We all received good sixed portions, which is good because I feel they are pretty pricey. The BIGGEST disappointment was a coconut cream pie ( and u know how you picture this! Flakey crust, large slice of a tall pie) No... with the added whipped crème I asked for it stood maybe 3 inches tall with a soggy graham cracker crust and it would have fit into a Burger King pie box. About 4 bites of pie really which was nothing more than instant vanilla pudding and coconut! WOULD eat here again I imagine but WOULD NEVER order any pie!!

Just wanted to say "IF you order over easy eggs - the white are supposed to be runny!
Over Easy - Dippy with runny whites
Over Medium - Dippy with cooked whites
Over Well - Whites done - egg yolks just starting to gel
Over hard - Break yolk and cook thru on both sides
Poached - cooked in boiling water
Basted - cooked while scooping hot oil/butte onto egg to cook.
Just need to say that.....

Great place to eat. Good food and good help. I've been going there for 15 years. Going again on Sunday. Keep up the good work.

My family and I camp at White Star park every summer (several times each summer) and it is not a camping trip without a stop at the Speed Trap. We have eaten there many times, sometimes with large parties, and have all been happy with the food, and the service. It's a small place, with a small staff, so you have to be reasonable about a small wait when they're busy- but our food has always come out hot, and good! I highly recommend this place. And, they have great ice cream, too! Make sure you check out the ladies' restroom- it's not to be missed. You'll see....

My husband and I have tried this place 3 or 4 times now. Every time we visit the service gets worse. I am not sure how that can even happen but it does. The food is only okay with both times for breakfast my eggs were ordered over easy but came out with runny whites. We don't have many choices here in this town but none of them are worth going to.
