I revisited Gar Wooley's after the new owners took over last week. It was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and the new owners made their rounds asking for opinions and genuinely taking in suggestions. The food was fresh and everything was made there. The steaks are cut daily and my husband thought the fried fish was some of the best ever. The owner bakes pies daily and it was probably better than most of your grandmothers! The prices were very reasonable and we will be going back often. 7-20-2015

I went to Gar Wooly's with my husband & mother in law. The food took a long time because there was a huge party going on in another room, we waited for 35mins for our food and we had to wait almost as long for our drinks to get refilled. Apparently huge parties are way more important than new and regular customers, ppl around us started getting mad, got up and left. We stayed and finally got our food and my food was fried way too long took me a knife and a fork to eat popcorn shrimp. What made me not want to go there anymore was an over friendly waitress!! She openly flirted with my husband right in front of me & my mother in law!! She paid way more attention to him than me or my mother in law, putting her hands on his shoulders she kept doing it even though he kept shrugging her off & trying to pay attention to me! I went to the bathroom cuz I couldn't stand it obviously didn't leave a tip.Tried to talk to a manager but left after waiting for 10 mins thanks to the big party. Beware of a red head waitress named Sarah!!
