09/13/2009 - Now I'm totally sold!
I have been to Cheeseburger In Paradise a few times and I have loved it each time! The food and drinks are always very delicious! The Mahi sandwich is amazing! I might just have to order that every time I go!
The service also must be mentioned. Excellent! The first couple of times I have been at a table, but that last few I have enjoyed the bar top, especially the bartender Chris. He is always attentive to my needs and puts on a pretty good show! Ask him to do a bar trick and you will end up having a blast! I should also mention the flair he puts into making our drinks!
This is the really cool part! Just the other night my boyfriend and I decided to go to Cheeseburger In Paradise and enjoy some appetizers and drinks. While we were there, we noticed the manager get on the stage and turn on the stage lights. I wasn't sure what was going on, I know they have live music on Friday nights, but this night was not Friday. Then the manager got off the stage and a teenage boy got on the stage. Then the manager, loudly, announced it was this young man's birthday, and at Cheeseburger In Paradise when it's your birthday you get a special birthday shot! At first, I was completely confused. I know it’s supposed to be paradise, but a shot for a teenager? At which point the manager said, it was a "special whip cream shot"! This is the best part! A server flung whip cream from a towel into the air in which the teenage boy had to catch it in his mouth!!!! He missed the first one, but got the second!
After the birthday shot, I was completely sold! I have always hated going out to eat and hearing a bunch of servers sign Happy Birthday, it's stupid, infringes on other people's dining experience, and most of all its tacky!! Finally I have found a restaurant that I will go to on my birthday and WANT TO TELL them it's my birthday!! I know where I'm having diner on my birthday! I can't wait!!!
