Restaurant Description

*This restaurant has closed. If this restaurant is open or has reopened, just let us know.

I would like the restaurant to be a pub type of establishment. With specializing in barbicue food to eat., with prize winning ribs to be proud of. Always a winner is the fish and chips that they serve with beer batter coating.

review_stars 12/23/2014 - Honest Customer
Throughout 2014 I was a customer of your establishment on numerous occasions. On more than twenty-five different days between March and December of 2014 I was a customer of your Downstairs Bar, one time I was a customer of the Restaurant portion of the establishment, and 3 times I visited the upstairs nightclub portion of the building.

Recently it became obvious that it is an unsafe place to drink and relax as one of the staff members is common to be drunk while on duty. This was never more prevalent than last week, when “Sherry” or “Cherry”, the woman that was “In charge” of the downstairs portion of the business, was intoxicated while on duty as bartender/management.

She was openly consuming large amounts of alcohol while in charge, and was sharing shot glasses of liquor with some of the customers. This became an enormous problem for myself when one of the male customers went behind the bar and “took over” control of the establishment, and in a drunken stupor began to intimidate and attempted to start a physical fight with me. I was at your bar to enjoy watching a football game on the television, not to enter into a boxing match with a drunken idiot that is getting impaired with your paid staff.

Although the actions of the idiot customer was totally unacceptable, the actions and statements of the woman in charge (Sherry) was even more disgusting. Her language was completely foul and totally inappropriate for a bartender, including her “Threatening” customers with statements like “Shut up or I’ll punch you in the throat”. She used a myriad of 4-letter words that were totally unacceptable and disgusting.

Her drinking heavily with the customers was ridiculous, and with the understanding of the “Smart Serve” regulations in Ontario, I believe that it was also illegal.
Sunday, December 21st, 2014 was even more of a horrible day to be present at your location. The brother of Sherry entered the bar with one of Sherry’s drinking buddies, and they proceeded to verbally abuse and attack other customers, including challenging people to physically fight. This was all being done with the words “Sherry is my sister” or other comments that somehow condoned the actions of these idiots because she was a relative or friend. It continued until the female waitress on duty cut them off and asked them to leave.

Today, December 23rd, 2014 I visited your business with the purpose of explaining my concerns and issuing a formal verbal complaint with the manager on duty. Upon entering the kitchen area to have a private conversation, I was specifically told that if I didn’t like it, that I could get out. That is certainly not the level of customer service or in a manner that a professional business should be conducting business. There is a legal aspect to this, and I should not have been threatened in ANY WAY at ANY TIME in your establishment. Not by customers. Not by Staff. Not by Bartenders. Not by Management.

I am writing this letter today to officially lodge my complaint. I am requesting that this woman staff person be IMMIDIATELY FIRED, or I will be forced to escalate this issue to hire levels {including the Liquor Licensing Board of Ontario, and the Ontario Government}.

This is an official request from a paying customer that has had his personal safety placed at risk due to the actions and behavior of your “Paid Staff person” that was “In Charge” of your Bar, and is charge of the serving of alcoholic beverages to the general public.

The “Smart Serve” course is mandatory for employees that are in charge of serving liquor to adults in Ontario, and part of that compulsory training is to provide a “Safe environment” for customers. I do not believe that your bar is presently a safe environment when the worker Sherry is left in charge of serving alcoholic beverages.

In Conclusion, You have one opportunity to fire this worker and correct this problem immediately, or I will be forced to forward this letter to the correct levels of government and authorities.

Rating: Used to be called Mister Mikes, was a good place. Now has become the most dangerous bar in SouthWestern Ontario. WATCH YOUR BACK!
