Wonderful environment. Food so flavourful and delious.

I am not one to write reviews but I cannot believe my experience at the Log Cabin and today this still upsets me
I reserved the side rom for my Mom’s 80th birthday in early Feb of 2023. Unfortunately the party was a complete let down for my mom. The owner informed me that because my party was reserved for a Sunday they did not have enough food prepped for the party because they are closed Monday/Tuesday. We had to split half the party from the side room to the main dining area due to space which I understand, but this could have been more politely conveyed.
We had booked for 20-30 people so 20 of us had the side room and acces to the full menu. The remaining tables which they kept referring to as “extras” had access to only half the menu….. who calls additional people coming into your restaurant as extras…… so if anybody decided that night to go for dinner would they be classified as extras?
It was 45 min before the main table had received menus from when we arrived as the owners were too busy being rude that more people decided to join since the weather was good and they could travel. Who ever would have thought going to a restaurant they would be made to feel Ike they were an inconvience.
The “extra” tabes waited 1.5 hours before their order was taken. We would have to all just picked up and left feeling the tension from the owners and wait staff but remember this was a birthday party for my Moms 80th so many people in attendance have mobility issues.
I understand that our party was large, but the excuse of not having food to accommodate is ridiculous. You still have half f your dining room open for other patrons - did they only have access to half your menu too? Let me be clear here……the other tables were sitting empty. So half the menu was reserved for guests who were not gaurenteed, but my party was not able to access stea, most appetizers and pork tenderloin. I may mention that the empty tables remained empty the entire time.
I did have some younger quests leave the party, disgusted in the service and the way I was being treated by the owners for more people joining to celebrate a milestone birthday. Some of the guests to leave were grandchildren of my Mother.
Yes this is a long review but there was so many disappointments. The server did not know special of the day, no bread was served before the meal but was offered to others, nor was coffee and tea offered after the meal. This is seniors who love a hot drink with dessert following their supper. What is going on with this once popular fine dining restaurant.
I can’t believe as new owners to this restaurant you had the audacity to blame me for bringing more customers to your establishment. I spent my Mom’s milestone birthday with tears in my eyes praying this isn’t the last birthday celebration we ever get to throw her.
We are a large generational family here in Parry Sound and believe me Log Cabin you have lost our families business.
I hope if you are reading this that you never have to experience anything Ike we did while trying to give our Mom a special birthday.

I went last night with my wife to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary. We have never been and thought we would give it a try. The prices weren't terrible but the selection of beverages was!
We were sat at a table for two which was next to a reserved table for 12. We placed our order and then the table of 12 arrived and they were very noisy. We couldn't hear each other talk. We asked to be moved to a different area and we were but instead of the people making sure others weren't disturbed by the noise and closing the doors where this table of 12 was they just let people get up leave and lose business. We complained many times and they just didn't care.
My wife went to use the washroom and it was the most disgusting and uncleaned room possible.
When I spoke to the manager she didn't seem to care about how our experience was and considering we spent enough at the restaurant for two of us you would think someone would care. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.
Poor service and just plain old poor everything about it!
