Most delicious custard tarts I’ve ever had… and delicious butter tarts too! Always stocked with the best of the best pastries every time we go.

Please, these negative reviews? Such babies, if you go when it’s busy-and it does get incredibly busy- no business is going treat you like you’re the only person there. If there’s a long line, come back later.Regardless, the baked goods are 100% top notch traditional English & Canadian. I cross the border just to come here, and maybe a pint or two at the Angel.

We had a very unfortunate experience at Niagara Home Bakery in Niagara on The Lake. The person at the cashier was not welcoming at all, rude and not helpful. The attitude was as if she was doing us a favor. We see a lot in the news that non minority visible people in Canada are aggressive to members of minority groups but in this case this was the opposite.
I hope that this attitude changes for the benefit of the business, whether this person is the owner or a worker, as the success of a business, of any business, depends on providing the best possible genuine service. This is particularly important now during this ongoing pandemic that has affected our businesses and our Canadian economy.
As tourists, one tries to have an enjoyable time and not to face rude attitudes that can potentially ruin our day.
My hope is that with this message the members of this business truly change their attitudes for the benefit of their business and wellbeing of all customers.

My family and I came here looking to purchase some baked goods but quickly changed our minds once the old lady behind the counter ignored and disregarded our question. There were no other customers in the store so there was no reason why the old lady couldn't hear when my wife asked her a simple question; she just blatantly looked at my wife up and down with cold eyes and didn't say a word. I didn't like the attitude and vibe we were given so I told my children we'd go to another bakery. It doesn't help with the whole anti-asian situation going on to be a victim of what I believe is discrimination. Might as well have a sign on your door stating you won't serve people of colour. Horrible place to bring your kids and make you feel out of place. I would never support such closed-minded businesses.
