We have support Tammies often, especially during covid and enjoyed their quantity and quality of food. We were away this winter finally for a vacation and returned to Tammies in early May. They had just got their new menu.
Bad news. Their prices have gone way beyond a breakfast/lunch menu. i had a small spinach salad - small bowl with a few berries, spinach, and some chicken - $14.00. Unfortunately they stopped serving from their once all day breakfast menu at 11 am - we got there at 11:15. My husband had his usual club sandwich - $14.00 &fries - that used to come with the meal. A small plate of side fries $5.50. WOW the food was OK but the total outrageous prices, slow service. The food was good but nothing “special” for a breakfast/lunch spot. Will not be back anytime soon unless they adjust their prices & quantity of food.

Thanks to Tammies Place from the Orillia Lighthouse Shelter. When the pandemic hit 10 months ago the shelter changed. Before covid 19, the shelter was supporting and housing14 men. Our numbers immediately increased when we decided to try and include include women as well as men in distress. Our numbers increased to 50 plus another 40 for lunch. We were short staffed and working with equipment that makes it difficult to manage those numbers everyday. Tammies Place stepped up by giving us a special rate for Saturday dinners. They were there for the community when we needed them most. We have many great people that help the less fortunate, and the folks at Tammies are amoung that special group.
