Whenever I'm in Orange County, I always make sure to eat at El Fortin because the Oaxacan food is incredibly authentic and delicious. The cozy atmosphere, traditional Mexican music, and lively vibe during a soccer game make the experience even better. My favorites are the mole enchiladas and the hot chocolate made with water-thick, flavorful, and perfect for someone avoiding dairy like me.

Every visit to Orange County includes a mandatory stop at El Fortin for its authentic Oaxacan cuisine. The vibrant atmosphere, complete with traditional music and soccer on the screen, adds to the experience, while the food never fails to impress, from the rich mole enchiladas to the delicious chapulines. Although the service can be a bit slow, the incredible flavors make it well worth the wait, and I always leave excited to return.
