The food is great. We had a 4 pice comb, and clam chowder. The price is vary reasonable, and the food is fresh. The workers are top notch. Give it a try, don't let the outside fool you.

My fish and chips were terrible. Limp cold fries and tough cod. Rude and stressed out service. Been going here for years. It was empty. Don’t understand why anyone would have to be rude. Never again.

I am a 74 year old lady who decided to sit down at a table that had not been cleaned off. The lady in charge, used a very strong, demeaning voice and mannerism to tell me to move. No one should treat a customer the way I as treated. How much more pleasant it would have been to be gently told to step back for a moment.
The food was good.
The lady was extra friendly to the next customers…..and sarcastically wished us a good day.

This place was decent a few years ago. Probably worthy of a 3/5 stars at the time.
Now they sell frozen trash they heat up in the back. Last time I ordered Halibut I got three fish-sticks. Same kind of breading you would expect on a fish stick and everything.

The fish was ok but the owner wouldn’t let me throw the food containers away when we finished eating (that he provided me). He insisted that I take all trash with me? And then he yelled at me for not reading his sign. Wow… this will be our last visit here. So disrespectful. The customer service has never been great, I should have never tried it again.

BEST Ever Cod Fish & Chips on Coast.
We have tried them all. Entire Oregon Coast.
Like their Salt & Pepper fresh made chips.
Employee's attitudes could be a little kinder on phone when ordering.
Still 5+ star fish & chips!

Absolutely THE BEST fish n chips I’ve eaten; even beats the old Elephant and Castle English style chips I used to drive an hour to in Portland! Flakey, moist cod or halibut surrounded by the most scrumptious crispy-fried batter! The fries are good, freshly fried AND cold! Ordering was easy and food arrived to my car fairly quickly.

Worst food ever. Cold, limp wet fish that fell apart. The fries were raw cold and so greasy and limp they looked as though they had been soaked in water. Rude service. Will never visit this place again.

Me and my Man went here thinking the Halibut, which we ordered,would be decent. He swallowed those 3 small bite-sized pieces in 2 seconds. Now we go to Fish Carts here,and paying $30.00 for 2 cartons of appetizers,isn't cool.The French fries were cold.Please satisfy future customers, by getting bigger pieces of Halibut pieces,instead of pieces, the size of small shrimp.Or charge,what you're dishing out.$6.50

03-13-2021, They have the best-fresh Fish and Chips in town. I have been going to this restaurant for 4+ years and will continue to go there..., most of the time I order ahead and take it to go bec they are always busy... now with COVID 19, there’s no indoor dining. I recommend this to everyone...

Don’t believe the 4 -5 star reviews. Soggy fish and fries, tasteless breading, hit or miss chowder. And terrible, beyond obnoxious customer service. I called an order in and was so appalled by the jerk that I asked to speak to the owner. He WAS the owner! That was the last straw. Give your hard earned cash to someone more deserving.

Always serving reliably delicious and fresh tasting fish and shrimp. The chowder is very good, not overly thickened with starches. Busy place for lunch and dinner but worth the wait.

After eating here one time before when we moved into Lincoln City we had very high expectations for this place. Imagine our surprise when we went in today to be completely disrespected and humiliated by their employee working at the counter taking orders. The place was busy and there was an open table so being disabled I went to get a seat while my wife started ordering food. I placed my jacket on the seat to show we were sitting there and then went back to the counter to let my wife know what I wanted.
I walk on a cane being 100% disabled and standing is very hard for me. After that, I sat back down only to have this RUDE employee completely humiliate my wife and me in front of everyone saying we had to move for another customer because they ordered before us?!?!?!?! Even tho they came in after us they just got to the counter before we did because I needed to sit down.
Keep in mind what I said before DISABLED VET! ON A CANE! My wife was very upset and even embarrassed for me as I had to NOT cause a scene and stand up to give a healthy couple of people our seats! They were obviously embarrassed as well by the actions of this employee. We left without even ordering. This rude employee pointed to some sign you are supposed to KNOW about coming in saying as her justification that this is what justifies her treatment of me. I have NEVER been treated so badly in a restaurant as a disabled Veteran let alone a disabled adult!
When I called back after I calmed down to ask for a manager the phone was picked up then set back down not answered. I had to wait until the busy signal ended to finally get guess who THE SAME RUDE EMPLOYEE. I asked for the manager and was told they were not here. When I asked for the owner I was told the same thing. I asked for info to contact them about my treatment and was told to try back another day and maybe I could catch them. I told this employee I wanted to try and head off a bad review and just talk to management and they said they don't have handout cards, no facebook, no site, so it did not matter to her. At that time I just hung up.
This review could have been avoided completely if this one rude employee just knew a little bit about customer service, let alone how to treat a disabled adult. I was not asking for special treatment at all. I did not cause a scene I just did NOT appreciate my wife and I being made a fool of in front of the entire restaurant and being made to move when it is OBVIOUS I AM DISABLED!!!!
I hope that other people in my situation have never been treated so bad and made to feel so unwelcome in a restaurant. It is hard for people with disabilities to even get around, out, and even enjoy what other people take for granted but to be completely humiliated and treated like this is uncalled for. I hope the owners or managers see this review and take action.

I have been going to J's for years and I loved it. I told everyone this was the place to go for fresh, tasty food. However, the last couple of times I visited the quality of food was less than desirable. The fish tasted like frozen fish sticks. Not fresh at all. I am sad.

Hands down the *BEST* FISH 'n CHIPS in Lincoln City... Sincerely even better than Mo's. And less expensive too!!! *Bonus* the staff is fun, friendly and accomodating. We always get the Family Pack Meals and get ours To Go, but the quaint little seating area of tables is good if you want to dine-in, but it's mostly packed in there when we go in to pick up our food, so may be difficult to get a seat. When we're in town we always make sure one of our meals is J's Fish & Chips.

Fish and clam strips were delicious, as was the chowder. Very nice people that work there too. We always stop here when we visit Lincoln City and we are never disappointed!
