Based on my experiences dining at Nor'Wester over the years, I have always enjoyed their meals. However, it appears that the restaurant may be closed permanently, as during my recent visit to Gold Beach, the building was under construction and there were no signs of activity. I am concerned about the status of the restaurant and hope that Colleen is doing well.

Great food and a great view of the Rogue River and Gold Beach harbor. Watch the sunset while you enjoy your dinner and a good wine at a fair price. Full dinners include a choice of clam chowder, garden salad or a great spinach salad. The salads are large enough to split. Dinner comes with either potato or rice and sourdough bread.

You can make a meal of the appetizers. The Dungeness Crab with Blue and Brie is served hot and you will have to die for the recipe! Fantastic.

Friendly staff. Possibly the best restaurant on the Southern Oregon Coast.
