Never never set foot in the door of O’Holleran’s
Resturant in Brooking OR!
We made a 5:30 reservation for a 65th Birthday dinner for 5. We asked to sit in the lounge because the atmosphere is much better. We were on time with masks in place. I went to the “hostess” stand to let them know I wanted to take care of the bill at the end of our dinner. Waitress said I would have to speak with the owner. Harsh looking grey haired old lady approached me. I told her that I wanted to take care of our meal. She basically screeched at me that if we were sitting in the lounge I’d have to take it up with them. The dinning room had NOTHING to do with the lounge. She turned her back on me and stomped off???? Really? Should have been suspicious right then.
We were seated by a very nice waitress. Ordered our wine and looked over the menus. We all ordered steak or seafood, supposedly what they are know for. Everything going well. We are all visiting and having a great time. We haven’t been together with the pandemic etc. The food was great. Waitress great. Company fantastic!
All of a sudden the Bartender came over to our table and told us we had to leave????? We still had wine in our glasses and dessert on our table. We just kinda ignored him and continued with our wine and desserts. He came back to the table and told us we needed to leave, he had people waiting for our table???? REALLY?? This was a $400.00 meal! We had probably been there for an hour and fifteen??
We finished up, mouths agape. As we shuffled out, I thought, bull sh-t! I saw the bartender sitting with a couple of people in a table at the end of the bar. I walked over to him and said that he was really rude, and we didn’t appreciate it. He jumped up and started SCREAMING at me! He informed me he was the owner of the restaurant not the bartender. He told me to get out of he’s restaurant right now and NEVER come back!!!!! I couldn’t believe it. My mouth was wide open, under my mask! I started to say something else, he CHEST BUMPED me and screamed again for me to get out and NEVER come back!!!! OMG! I wished I’d have kneed him right in his sweet spot! I’m sure he must have one!
I went out and spotted the 5 big guys waiting for our table. I apologized to them for making them wait. They were like….what? I explained to them what had just happened to us. The one fella said, yea, I’ve heard the Owner is an real -ss hole. Putting it mildly I must say!
Looking on Yelp, I found we aren’t the only patrons treated this way. How do they possibly stay in business is my question?
PLEASE share this with all your friends and families. These horrible people need to be stopped. Nobody needs to be treated like this. Can you imagine how they treat their employees, if this is the way they treat paying customers?

We just wanted to go in and have a good dinner and enjoy ourselves but political bull crap was shoved down our throats. The young bartender commented that she was leaving on Saturday and that she didn't give a sh-t. She also treated all of her fellow employees like crap.
