We decided to share a couple of the dishes so we could experience more of the offerings. Chose the Rose Dumplings and the Asparagus. Both were well presented, colourful and very tasty and more than adequate to share. So we were looking forward to the Cornish Hen which our waitress highly recommended. The wait time was nearly 45 minutes and surprised to see how small the serving was. We then noticed there was only one leg and one wing and on further inspection it appeared to be HALF a cornish hen. What we had was again well presented and quite tasty but in three bites each it was all gone. This dish was $40.00. The two previous dishes offered a lot more to eat and priced at $18.00 each. When we questioned our waitress about the hen and mentioned that there was only one leg and one wing and only half a hen, she gave some sort of explanation that the chef only buys 5 lbs hens. We did point out that the menu says Cornish Hen which implies a WHOLE bird and as our dish only had one leg and one wing was obviously just half a hen. And at $40.00 it was outrageously expensive. We did ask the waitress to convey our opinion to the chef and owners. Not sure she did or whether they cared anyway.
In conclusion, it is not going to be a place I would choose again.
