Bought 2 tubes of Metka for them. At the time of purchase I specifically asked asked if it was fresh (it was on a Friday and their deliveries of fresh deli meats is on Thursday) and they assured me it was. Shouldda know, the red flag was that both tubes were "vacuum sealed" (But very loosely thus there was a LOT of air so not really "vacuumed"). Opened the sealed packages on Sunday and they were both rancid. There were no "Best Before" dates on them which is required in Canada for these types of meats. Will never EVER shop there again. So, bottom line BUYER BEWARE!

Bought their Poppieseed cake. It was very dry and their cheesecake also was not fresh.

I consistently encounter complete disdain from the two ladies who staff this place, one of whom I assume is the owner and manager. They do not help me when I have questions. Their responses to questions consist of one word answers. They do not explain the range of choices I may have for the type of food I`m looking for. They do not offer help or any customer service. Their facial expressions seem to indicate disdain and an indignance that they have to serve me. My friends who also shop here tell me that these same two staff make a show of helping male customers. I can take my business to the Russian deli on Pinecrest. Thank you very much. They never hesitate to be of help.

Under the new owner this Baltyk Delicatessen is excellent. There are better goods,always stocked.Very friendly staff always helpful.
