On my last visit to J J Bankos we waited 45 minutes to be seated, which is not unreasonable on a Saturday night. After our party of four plus a 2 year old child were seated it all started to go down hill. We waited for nearly 15 minutes for our waitress to greet us and take our drink order. Then it took an additional 10 minutes to actually get our drinks. After ordering we waited patiently for 45 minutes to get our appetizers. After nearly 1 hour of waiting for or meals, I asked the waitress how much longer it was going to be until we got our meals. Our waitress said she would go check. She did not return. I flagged her down after waiting an additional 25 minutes and said we could not wait any longer. I asked her to settle up our bill with the drinks and the 2 appetizers we had received. Then a manager showed up and said "your dinners are almost ready." I said "sorry to little to late."
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Waiting 1 1/2 hours for food after you're seated is ridiculous. I sorry to say it will be a long long time before I go there again.
