I been going to Hershey Bistro for the past 2 years, primarily for breakfast. My husband refuses to go with me to this restaurant because the Old lady hostess with short hair, Grey highlights and gotti jewelry is usually working. She is very rude and oversteps. She will interrupt our conversations 2-3 time per visit and makes comments about our kids. "Oh its too hot for baby to wear socks" "You should pack him cheerios that he can eat while waiting on food" "I never would let my kids watch videos at the table" "Oh wow he's still eating baby food my kids were eating solid foods by the time they were his size" You get the picture im sure. The other waitresses always look in horror in regards to her comments. It's obvious she must know the owner or is related otherwise i'm sure she would of been fired by now.

Yesterday was the worst experience I have ever encountered at a restaurant. I was at the restaurant with my 2 & 5 year old. My 5 year old was standing by me jumping up and down in excitement as I showed her how to make origami with her placemat. This older hostess comes over and bends down 6 inches from her face and points and yells at her to go sit down. I was horrified by the fact that she simply could have said she felt uncomfortableTO ME for safety and I would have handled it. Her yelling and pointing in my daughter's face was very inappropriate. She scared her out of her mind. My daughter started crying uncontrollably and I could not get her to calm down. She felt very unsafe. I asked our waitress to box up the food and get check because we could not stay because the older hostess yelled at my daughter and she couldn't stop crying. Waitress did not return in a timely matter so I decided we would just leave. I saw the Old lady with short hair, Grey highlights and gotti jewelry hostess on the way out and informed her that next time she should say something to the parent and let them handle it, every child is different, not to yell at someone's kid. The hostess said in a devil voice " I will say whatever I want to anyone's child" I realized then that she is crazy and just said well you will be happy to know we are leaving and will never return and will leave a review. This crazy old lady then followed us through the restaurant all the way to the door talking in her DEVIL voice about how "she raised 6 kids and they are better than my kids". I'm holding my 2 year old in my arms and my 5 year old is scared clinging to my leg and crying. I said to her you are scaring my children, stop following us. She still proceeded to follow and yell at us Until I went out the front door and literally shut the door on her and held it shut so she could not follow us to my vehicle. After holding the door shut for a minute she decided not to come outside. It was very scary. I do not recommend you take your children to this place or anyone with disabilities. That old  hostess is crazy, unstable and unpredictable. The busyness of that place and being understaffed made her snap out on a mom with 2 young children. SHe choose to TERRORIZE US and that is not ok! Hershey Bistro choosing to employ someone like her is not ok.

My daughter has been seeing a therapist for the past year for emotional support so scary events like this just makes it all so much harder on her. My daughter now is saying she just shouldn't leave the house because she doesn't want anyone to scare her like that again. Concerned someone might follow us all the way home.

Do NOT take children to this place! Very UNSAFE!

We had the Easter brunch today at the Hershey Bistro. The selection and quality of food was exceptional 👌. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and fresh. The cost was quite reasonable. Hope this becomes a yearly event. GREAT job, thank you The Hershey Bistro.
